The International Infectious Diseases & Global Health Training Program in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases

We are looking for new trainees to join our Program, if interested please apply!!

Deadline for applications is August 26, 2024

Applicants must submit the following in the application package:

  • Application Form
  • Cover Letter. Your cover letter should include:
    - Your name and background
    - Your confirmed IID&GHTP Program Mentor, name and contact information
    - Names of 2 Reference Letter Providers (One must be from the proposed/confirmed      mentor/supervisor)
    - Track you are applying for (ex: UofM PhD trainee, International PhD trainee)
    - Description of why you are applying for the IID&GH Training Program
    - Description of how the training program will help you to achieve your career goal
    - Your research background and most recent significant scientific contributions
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Three page description of Research Proposal
  • 2 Letters of Reference - one must be from the trainees supervisor (letters to be sent directly from your reference via email to the Program Coordinator (Manitoba site) or Site Leader (India, Kenya, Colombia site)
  • **** The applicant's host department must confirm that the training program's annual course, and Infectious Minds are approved as part of the applicant’s training and this can be in the form of a reference letter from the department head or be confirmed in the mentor/supervisor's letter
     
  • Official Undergraduate and Post Graduate Transcripts (accepted under separate cover direct from the Institution. Some sites will accept a scanned web version of the transcript, please inquire with your site directly)
